From Past Experience
Hope, Healing and Communal Empathy
Marshele is a profoundly talented communicator, possessing a rare combination of imagination, humility, conviction, and ability. Above all, it is the timeliness and importance of her unique perspective on the challenges faced by countless military families today that renders her presentations so compelling and her words so affecting. Marshele's message is one of hope, healing, and communal empathy. Her voice is needed by our nation, now more than ever before in our history.
Marshele has served as a panelist on my project, “Theater of War”, which uses ancient Greek plays to engage military audiences in dialogue a bout difficult issues, such as combat trauma, depression, suicide, and the reintegration of veterans back into civilian life. Marshele's contribution to my project has been immense and invaluable. Her startling ability to distill complex ideas and troubling emotions into potent, accessible statements remains her greatest achievement as a speaker. I have marveled at her skill and delighted in her ability to communicate simultaneously form her head and from her heart.

Winning The Battles That Come With Military Life
My wife of fifty plus years, Patricia Bransford Allen, experienced the rigors of military life and can identify with the challenges imposed upon wives and families. She read [Hope for the Home Front] and she too agrees that it is appropriate for those spouses who are very serious about winning the emotional and spiritual battles that come with military life.

Humor, Passion and Deep Insight
[Marshele] speaks with tremendous understanding of the struggles borne by military families and conveys her story with humor, passion and deep insight. Her talks are not created out of someone else’s textbook but through her own experience. Regular military life presents many challenges but Marshele's experience as a Navy SEAL's wife lifts her above the average hardships of military service. The adversities endured by members of the Special Operations community magnify “normal” military burdens ten-fold. She and her husband faced these fires head on and came through them refined and equipped for greater service to the military and audiences everywhere.

Reaches the Audience's Hearts
[Marshele] is an eloquent but down to earth speaker who reaches to the hearts of her audience while bringing truth to the issues that so many of our brave soldiers and their families face. As a psychotherapist that is trained in the treatment of trauma stress issues, people often struggle with how to talk about the impact of trauma and how it impacts the family. [Marshele] breaks down these stigmas and validates both those most directly impacted by these issues. Because of the trueness of her messages, I use her book, Hope for the Home Front Bible Study, as part of my therapy process with military families.

The Real Deal
Marshele is an outstanding speaker with qualities far superior to most speakers we hear today. I have also spent quality time with Marshele, getting to know her on a deeper level. She's the real deal. Her life story is authentic. She engages the audience with her ability to convey the pain in her life with realistic facts, humor, and a warm, inviting personality; and at the same time, with utmost professionalism. Her timeless message is one of hope and victory over circumstances, rather than a victim of circumstances.
